Your Relationship with LifeMap
This Advisor Relationship Overview was updated and is effective as of April 1, 2025.
Â
We want to thank you for using LifeMap. Our goal is to treat your clients with a âwhite gloveâ service that enhances your ability to deepen your client relationships.Â
We know how important your clients are to you. Weâre in business to nurture these connections by providing your clients with unique, relevant, easy-to-access, and helpful tools and materials that speak to the emotional, practical, and family aspects of life transitions. Clients desperately want support with these personal aspects, which you do not have all the expertise, nor time to address beyond the financial/legal.
The information and materials that LifeMap offers are intended to proactively prepare clients for the life transitions they face and to inspire action.
To achieve this, we will:
- Act as an alliance with you and your business.
- Address the emotional, practical, and family aspects of life transitions with your clients.
- Be a turnkey solution for your business to showcase your caring and attention to your clientsâ individual life situations.
What we will not do:
- Offer financial advice. We will refer clients back to you regarding their financial matters.
- Infringe on your clientsâ privacy.
- Share with your clients any information about other advisors who may also be subscribers to LifeMap.
- Share the specific usage your clients have with LifeMap. This includes specific data about when they access or what materials they view or download. We consider this information to be at each clientâs discretion whether they share with you or your company. It is also an engagement opportunity for you to ask what LifeMap resources they found useful.
PRIVACY
Just as you authorize LifeMap to collect your Personal Information when you register to use our platform, and agree to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms of Service, and Fairness Policy, (see https://www.lifemap.living/legal-privacy ), your clients are required to do the same when they register to use LifeMap.
We consider your and your clients' information in two ways:
- âPersonal Informationâ (sometimes referred to as personally identifiable information or PII);
- âSensitive Informationâ (sometimes referred to as sensitive personal information or SPI).Â
- The Personal Information LifeMap obtains depends on how you or your clients interact with the LifeMap platform, the choices made, and the products and features used. As an example of PII, when registering to use LifeMap, we may collect your Name, Business Name, Business Email Address, Location, and Password. Another example is when registering to attend webinar sessions, we may collect Name, Email Address, and any information volunteered as questions or comments in advance or during these sessions.
Personal Information may also include a credit card number and billing address, however this information is obtained and stored via LifeMapâs use of an encrypted third-party payment system, to which LifeMap and our Life Guides do not have data access, unless deemed necessary for a valid legal reason, such as a fraud concern. - Sensitive Information is the type of information that you may share as a question to one of our Experts, or your clients may share with a Life Guide regarding personal life situations including, but not limited to, the names of family members and specific details about a familyâs actions and activities. SOI may be disclosed to a Life Guide when participating in their services, such as by sharing needs, receiving personalized guidance, and discussing solutions.
LifeMap does not store any Sensitive Information in order to provide services on our platform. Our Life Guides agree not to disclose Sensitive Information to LifeMap, or to a clientâs Advisor, the Advisorâs company, or any third party unless the client gives express permission in writing to LifeMap and the Life Guide.
MEMBERSHIP
The LifeMap platform offers a turnkey service to Advisors by providing curated content to your clients to develop their awareness, thinking, and abilities to better navigate their life events, changes, and challenges â situations we call âlife transitions.â
Membership access to LifeMap can only be provided by you, a professional Advisor or Financial company.
There are two types of âMembershipsâ:
ADVISOR Subscription
You or your company will pay an annual fee to offer complimentary, annual memberships to a certain number of your clients. Included with this subscription fee is your access to a âdashboardâ on the platform, which gives you access to our library of exclusive LifeMap Tools, videos, resources, and monthly webinars (presenting professional education and advice relevant to your industry). If you or your company opts to pay monthly for your Advisor Subscription, your commitment is for 12 months of automatic payments. If payments stop before all 12 payments are made, your clients' memberships will be revoked. We will contact you to offer 10 business days to remedy any payment lag.
CLIENT Membership
Your clients register at no cost to gain access to LifeMapâs Tools, videos, resources, and webinars, all with the goal of easing life transitions.
- Orientation Calls. We offer all Clients the opportunity to book a one-on-one video conference session with one of our Client Care Team. This call serves as a âtourâ of LifeMap and what it offers.
- Breadth of Information. Clients (and you) can access the information they want, when they want it. Everyone has the unlimited ability to learn more about other Life Transition categories, beyond the initial reason for joining. (For example, you discover information regarding a clientâs caregiving situation and offer a LifeMap membership, but the client can go beyond their original scope of looking at Caregiving topics and access resources in other categories, such as searching for Retirement tools.)
- Flexible and Confidential. All of our exclusive LifeMap Tools are designed to be downloadable, printable, or used digitally. None of your Clientâs information is shared or stored on the LifeMap platform.
- Ask the Expert Sessions. Twice per month, your clients will have the opportunity to attend webinars with our Life Transition Category Experts. There is no cost for these webinars and all participating Clients will attend anonymously, with the opportunity to submit their questions in advance or live via âchatâ.
- Personal Guidance. Membership provides Clients with the ability to book one-on-one sessions with Life Guides. (See Life Guides section below for more details.)
LIFE GUIDES
As an extension of LifeMapâs online services, another exclusive opportunity we offer your Client members is the ability to seek one-to-one, professional life coaching and facilitation services from a Life Guide. Our Life Guides have been vetted by us to have professional experience working with individuals and families. Working with a Life Guide is an individually paid-for service. Life Guides work independently, external to the LifeMap online program. It is entirely your clientsâ option to purchase and utilize a Life Guideâs services.
When engaging the services of a Life Guide, LifeMap will need to collect and share your clientâs Name, Email Address, and Phone Number to initiate the service. The Life Guide may report back to LifeMap regarding how many sessions have been booked, attended, and general outcomes solely for the business purpose of tabulating the use of this paid-for service and determining effectiveness.
LifeMap may also share the amount of participation in our services and use of Life Guide services with you in a general form, for example, how many clients access Life Guide services in a year.
All our Life Guides sign agreements which include non-disclosure of Sensitive Information to LifeMap, to you, to your company, or any third party unless a client gives express permission in writing to LifeMap and their Life Guide.
Life Guides will provide services directly to your clients, outside of LifeMap and may use LifeMap materials to explain, guide, and offer suggestions to support specific life transition needs. This service is commonly known as life coaching. The success of the Life Guide engagement depends upon a clientâs commitment and openness to the educational process.
Any Life Guide service should not be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, or substance abuse treatment for clients or their family members. In requesting Life Guide services, your clients will agree not to use these services in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment or therapy.
As mentioned, your clients will agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use upon their registration to use LifeMap. In addition, they will further agree to a separate set of engagement rules, when requesting to work with a Life Guide. This Life Guide Agreement includes specific details about the Life Guide relationship being at arms-length from LifeMap and you/your company, as well as aspects of confidentiality, fees, availability, cancellation terms, and other responsibilities and disclaimers regarding this coaching engagement.
OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
As part of your Advisor subscription, you have access to our exclusive LifeMap Tools. These are for your personal use or to educate your staff about specific life transitions.
You are NOT PERMITTED to distribute our Tools â either in electronic or print form â to your clients, beyond those whom have become LifeMap Members.
We highly recommend you utilize the Tools for personal use, which will help you better understand their effectiveness and allow you to be more authentic in your promotion of LifeMapâs advantages to your clients.
We hold you and your client relationships in the utmost regard. Please treat our intellectual property with the same respect. Duplication, use of any of our content as your own, or other copyright infringement is strictly prohibited.
